- Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. Acceptance of a prize is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- The Promoter is Choice Hotels Australasia Pty Ltd (ABN 41 081 959 891) of 150 Jolimont Road, East Melbourne, VIC, 3002, (03) 9243 2400 (Promoter).
- The promotion schedule:
- Active Contesting dates: VIC: 7 April - 2 May 2008 & 21 - 29 July, NSW: 7 April - 2 May & 21-28 July, QLD: 7 April - 2 May 2008 & 21 - 29 July, SA: 7 April - 2 May 2008 & 21 - 29 July, WA: 12 May - 6 June 2008, New Zealand: 28 April - 2 May 2008
- Subject to paragraph 5 & 6, entrants must be aged 18 years or more (Eligible Entrants).

Method of Entry:
Listeners of the ARN Network (GOLD.FM 104.3, MIX106.5, MIX97.3, MIX 102.3, Perth 96FM, Wellington ZM 90.9 or Christchurch ZM 91.3) or visitors of choicehotels.com.au/choicehotels.co.nz enter the Choice Hotels Weekend Wanderer competition online and select a region within their state of residence and finish this sentence in 5 words or less: 'I want to get away for the weekend because...';. They will then fill in their details, opt in to receive more updates from Choice Hotels via email. The winner will be selected based on the best completion of the sentence.
- To enter the competition, Eligible Entrants must:
- Be an Australia resident or New Zealand resident
- Complete all fields of the competition form
- The Promoter will not be responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
- The following persons are not eligible to enter and be awarded prizes:
- employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter or any companies or agencies involved and/or associated with this competition; or
- the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household); or
- entrants who have won a prize/prizes valued either individually or collectively at more than $100 from the Promoter, or in any contest run by the Promoter, in the prior 30 days; or
- entrants who are discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.
All entrants acknowledge that the Promoter can rely on these Conditions of Entry even if the Promoter only learns of a person's ineligibility after the Promoter has awarded the prize to the ineligible person. Return of the prize or payment of its equivalent value to the Promoter can be required by the Promoter if this occurs.
- Selection of winners: The Winner is determined and judged on their responses to the question.
- The result of the draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Prizes:
- Victoria residents: 4 X 2 nights accommodation at a participating Choice hotel within Victoria (subject to availability and conditions apply) and AUD$200 Choice Hotels Gift Vouchers, one prize weekly.
- New South Wales & ACT residents: 4 X 2 nights accommodation at a participating Choice hotel within NSW (subject to availability and conditions apply) and AUD$200 Choice Hotels Gift Vouchers, one prize weekly.
- Queensland: 4 X 2 nights accommodation at a participating Choice hotel (subject to availability and conditions apply) and AUD$200 Choice Hotels Gift Vouchers, one prize weekly.
- South Australia: 4 X 2 nights accommodation at a participating Choice hotel (subject to availability and conditions apply) and AUD$200 Choice Hotels Gift Vouchers, one prize weekly.
- Western Australia: 4 X 2 nights accommodation at a participating Choice hotel (subject to availability and conditions apply) and AUD$200 Choice Hotels Gift Vouchers, one prize weekly.
- New Zealand: 3 X 2 nights accommodation at a participating Choice hotel (subject to availability and conditions apply) and NZD$200 Choice Hotels Gift Vouchers.
- Total Prize's will not exceed $10,580 and is based on the recommended retail value and the exchange rate at the time of printing. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for any variation in the value of a prize.
- The prizes do not include travel insurance, passports, visas, meals, ticket taxes or charges, ground transportation, additional accommodation (except where stated) or any other costs of a personal nature not stated. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the winner.
- Prize Notification and publication: Winners will be notified on air via the Australian Radio Network and Radio Network in NZ, telephone and/or via email. Prize winner's First initial, Surname and State will be published in the Winners section of the Weekend Wanderer email communications.
- Prize Collection:
- The Prize must be claimed in person unless the winner is otherwise advised. ID that includes a photograph will be required. The collection of the prize is the sole responsibility of the winner.
- The winner of the prize must claim his/her prize within six (6) weeks of notification of winning. The prize will be forfeited by winner if unclaimed after six (6) weeks.
- Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. Subject to these terms and conditions, the prizes can be transferred to another person, should the winner be unable to accept the prize.
- The Promoter its respective related bodies corporate, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- Comfort, Quality, Clarion and associated logos are registered trademarks and used under license from Choice Hotels International Inc.
- This promotion is subject to the Promoter's Privacy Policy set out in the Annexure to these terms and conditions. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter and will be used for electronic direct marketing purposes by Choice Hotels Australasia. Without limiting the generality of the attached Privacy Policy, the name and photograph of the winner may be used to comply with the law in the conduct of this promotion and for promotional purposes.
